How Invisalign Express Works

Invisalign is a relatively new form of orthodontics with benefits appreciated by many patients. Invisalign aligners apply consistent pressure in order to straighten the teeth, close gaps, and spread out crowded areas all while being removable and relatively unnoticeable. Invisalign also provides different styles of treatment to custom fit all types of patients. Full is for those who require complete treatment, while Teen is for younger patients. Invisalign Express works much like the complete Full option, but involves a quicker treatment time. While thirty to forty aligners are normally needed over the course of about twelve months, Express typically features ten aligners worn in six months. Patients can enjoy a healthier, better looking smile in a short amount of time.

This treatment is not available for everyone, however. Express is best for those suffering from only mild orthodontic issues. These issues are limited to:

·         Minimal rotation of the cuspids, bicuspids, and/or incisors

·         Less than two millimeters of spacing or crowding concerns per arch

·         Less than two millimeters of midline correction per arch

·         Less than 1.5 millimeter of dental expansion required per arch
