How Much Does Getting a Root Canal Cost?

We are very aware that root canals are not fun – from the initial tooth infection to the recovery time. One factor that can certainly contribute to the lack of enthusiasm patients experience is the cost of the cost of root canal in Los Angeles. The following is information regarding this factor in treating an infected tooth.

There are several factors that affect the pricing of root canal treatments. These factors include:

Location (Where in the country, city vs. country, etc.)
             Which tooth (molar, incisor, bicuspid)
             Your insurance coverage
Number of follow up appointments needed
             And more

The type of tooth needing treatment is not a factor due to the level of access. A molar does not cost more than an incisor because it is harder to reach. Rather, it has to do with the size of the tooth. The front teeth are smaller and have only one canal to clean out, whereas the back teeth have as many as three.

A root canal can cost as much as $1,100 for a front tooth, $1,800 for a bicuspid, and $2,000 for a molar. Again, these numbers can also be affected by the other factors listed above.
